Our web site lists trade Showrooms and Retail Store Locations. These are easily accessible by clicking on the "Where to Buy" link on our web site. Please call us if you are unsure which is the nearest showroom to you. Although our showrooms are distributed throughout the country, all design professionals may choose to work with any showroom of their choice. Our retail customers will need to select a designer who can work through a trade showroom, or visit one of our Retail Store Locations.

4. I have some old McGuire pieces in need of repair and replacement parts. Where should I go for information?
Your showroom sales rep can assist you with your inquiry or you may reach us through the web at 'Contact Us'.
Please be ready to provide your Proof of Purchase indicating you have acquired your product from an authorized McGuire dealer or one of our showrooms. Also, please have photos available showing the furniture style and close-ups of the areas requiring work or replacement.

6. Can I get finish samples?
All of the McGuire finish sample chips that show a date on their label are current finishes. They have been finished according to McGuire's finishing schedule, and are representative of the appearance of specific finishes. McGuire offers finish chips solely to assist clients/ customers in differentiating between one finish and another. Do not ask your clients/customers to select a specific chip within a specific finish; likewise, remind them not to expect the finish to "match" a specific chip exactly.

Why? This is because McGuire blends finishes to be consistent with its finish masters - the same finish masters used when the finish sample chips are created. In many cases the sample chips in your location were taken from a single pole. The variations from chip to chip - taken from a single pole - are solely the result of differences in the expression of grain on the rattan itself. It is important that you explain this to your clients/ customers to manage expectations, as McGuire no longer will be accepting finish sample chips with requests to "match" to them.

The only exception to this policy is for customers with previously-purchased McGuire pieces who are looking to add a new/replacement piece to complement their existing pieces. In these cases, customers may submit a previously-purchased piece for us to use as guidance for blending the finish to be as consistent as possible. Again, finish blending is not a science, and clients'/ customers' expectations need to be managed to expect that some variation may result.

7. Which finishes are offered?
You may view the different finishes through our web site. Most finish samples are also available through designers and/or showrooms.

It is important to remember that natural variations occur between different pieces of rattan. Also, exposure to sunlight and/or outdoor air and humidity may result in finish color variations. One should expect that the finish on a piece of furniture that has aged several years would tend to differ from a newly finished product.

Therefore, it is important to understand that finish options shown on the web are only approximations of these colors and cannot be guaranteed for accuracy. Some variations may occur for the reasons stated above, and because each individual piece of wood naturally differs in grain, texture and natural coloration.

8. Can McGuire match a new piece of furniture to previously purchased pieces or blend a custom finish?
No, McGuire cannot match specific finishes; however, we can blend the new finish as closely as possible.

You may select a finish sample that comes closest to your previous furniture and send it in your order. We will do our best to blend the finish as closely as possible to the finish sample that you have selected.

Please remember that natural variations between different pieces of rattan may result in finish color variations. Also, if your furniture is exposed to direct sunlight, that exposure will also likely affect the variation in the finish. Please see your sales representative or retail showrooms for custom finish inquiries. These are handled on a case by case basis.

9. Why can't McGuire guarantee lead times for Robert Kuo Limited Pieces?
Given the unique, individually handmade nature of the Robert Kuo limited edition product, McGuire cannot guarantee lead times. The lead times stated are approximate only and are based on the best information available at the time. McGuire will continue to monitor progress with the factory and communicate any changes as soon as possible.

10. What information will McGuire need to better answer my questions when I call to check status on an order?
McGuire Customer Service will be better positioned to assist you if you provide the Order Confirmation number. Other helpful items would be your Purchase Order number, the date the order was placed, and any known product numbers.

11. How long should I expect to wait for custom quote requests?
Most Custom quotes normally take 24 hours. However, in cases where parts need to be specially ordered or very specialized work needs to be considered, it may take up to 72 hours. That would allow McGuire to gather the relevant information to provide you with that quotation.

12. How should I care for my McGuire Furniture? Is there any special cleaning or waxing that I should conduct on a regular basis?
